NMC mandates: valid NEET before joining, NMC-approved college, 54-month MD, 75% attendance, 12-month internship, then NExT Part 1 and Part 2 to practice in India.

From 2025 batch onwards, FMGE is replaced by NExT (National Exit Test). All foreign MBBS graduates must clear NExT Part 1 (theory) and NExT Part 2 (clinical/OSCE) before getting permanent medical registration in India.
